The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) is hosting a Kenya Emergency Communications Systems Reverse Trade Mission (RTM) from May 13 – 22, 2019. The aim of the Kenya Emergency Communications RTM is to highlight state-of-the-art U.S. technologies to develop emergency management communication systems and address various aspects of emergency communications systems, including emergency response technologies, national emergency telephone call response systems, and technologies that can address disaster preparedness, response, and mitigation. A Business Briefing will be held at USTDA’s offices in Arlington, VA on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, where delegates will brief U.S. company participants on current initiatives and opportunities and one-one-meetings. Thelma is an associate at insiderPR. She is a planning, research, and evaluation specialist, and much of her research explores innovative business models for inclusive growth through entrepreneurship in Sub-Saharan africa. Thelma supports several international donor organisations, and government agencies in gathering evidence to inform decision making, and conducts rigorous results-based evaluations to measure the impact of their work. Thelma is a Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA). She holds a BA in Economics from the University of British Columbia, and an Mphil in Development Studies from Cambridge University.
